Rush Pleansuk is an architect, interior designer, product designer and artist. After finishing his architecture degree from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, he furthered his studies in timber design and construction at School of Architecture and Landscape in Bordeaux, France. This might be the reason why a large body of his works is always related or somehow inspired by wood and natural materials. With his life and business partner Philippe Moisan, he founded
Sumphat Gallery, which acts as a multi-disciplinary design studio which works extensively with local Thai communities to develop designed-oriented products that match the demands of the market. He also founded an architect company “Bluedot” and works as a sculpture artist under the alias “Gaspard”. He has received prominent design awards both nationally and internationally, including a first prize recognition from La Plateforme Genome Transcriptome in France as well as the G-Mark design award in Japan and the D-Mark design award in Thailand.
