Sarinya Limthongtip started her path in design with a degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Bangkok University. She then pursued a master’s degree in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. “London is where I lived my life as an artist to the fullest,” says Sarinya, expressing her thanks to London’s artistic environment, which led her to become the successful designer she is today.
Returning to Thailand, Sarinya worked with a furniture company for a while before establishing her own brand, ‘SRINLIM’, when she joined a ‘Talent Thai’ contest with DITP. Her first collection was launched during that time with inspiration from the beauty of peacocks. The collection transformed the colors and patterns on a peacock’s feather into a distinguished graphic design on pillows and upholstery.
SRINLIM’s expertise in edgy graphic design shines in this brilliant collaboration. Not a typical square or a circle, the studio turns PDM’s signature mat into an eye-catching hexagon shape with a perfect combination of colors like indigo, black and white.
As a part of the Colour of Charoenkrung Project, Sarinya takes advantage of living most of her life in this area by expressing her fondest memory on wall art. Occupying a wall of TaiGuan Cafe in the heart of Talad Noi, SRINLIM’s ‘Talad Noi’ graffiti brings together different images from buildings and architecture in a single work.
