When it comes to choosing furniture, opting for neutrals is a smart move. It is classic and never gets old. But on the flip side, life can be harder for those who are visually impaired. To solve this problem, Bangkok-based design agency BBDO Bangkok has come up with a plan, a special furniture collection designed for those who have a decreased ability to see.

With the name inspired by the contrast ratio, this 7:1 collection for HomePro comes with candy color with high constrasting schemes like pairing yellow with black or pink with deep blue. This enables the visually impaired to see and make use of the furniture. Still, as for the designer, one challenge remains. How to create a well-balanced furniture set that will be impressed by both normal people and people who have trouble seeing?
Obviously, it turned out just fine for BBDO Bangkok, since the design did win the Bronze Lion award in the Design category of 2019 Cannes Lions. Way to go, BBDO Bangkok! People love it, and we love it too!
