A secret gallery in Phrom-Phong that you might not know of

At 137 Pillars Suites and Residences, there's an art space that blends itself so well with the luxury surrounding.

Bangkok art scene is booming, and there are quite a few galleries that worth a visit. One of that is located in luxury hotel 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok. This one is worth the much-hyped term of ‘secret gallery’, since there is actually no ‘gallery around’, just an art space that blends itself so well with the luxury surrounding.

Titled ‘Art Rotation’, the temporary art showcase was initiated by the hotel management team together with Farmgroup, a Bangkok-based design consultant company. Debuted in November 2018, this program presents the works of prominent and upcoming Thai artists to those who are interested, whether the hotel guests or the general public. For the Fifth Art Rotation series, the artists are young Thai artists Prasert Yodkaew and Suttikiet Pumpoung, whose works will be showcased the Baan Borneo Club, and Louie’s Tiffin Grill until 5 September. The exhibition is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

And to imply that they are not doing this just for marketing and they take art seriously, 137 Pillars Suites and Residences also has private art tours for their guests. Their art guru will take the guests to artist studios in Bangkok so that they can learn more about the art works from the creators. Sounds fun, right?

A unique journey through Bangkok's Art Scene. Bangkok’s art scene is a multi-hued palette of the different movements, bouncing from Expressionism to Abstract, Conceptual, Pop Art and much more, that attracts both local as well as renowned artists. The 137 Pillars Private Art Tour opens the door to another fascinating dimension of the city. Please email concierge@137pillarsbangkok.com for more information or to book the tour.
